High outgoing media jitter

Description

High jitter is detrimental to the playout of the media. It adds stutters and leads to poor media quality or delayed playout.

In this case, an outgoing media stream (audio or video) is exhibiting high jitter.

The higher the jitter, the less interactive the conversation is and the worse the user experience is bound to be.

What do we do here?

We check outgoing audio and video media streams for their jitter.

Here, we calculate the average jitter on each media stream for the whole duration of the media stream.

If jitter is higher than 40ms, we mark this Observation.
