Potential echo loop
An echo loop has been detected. This can be the sign of a microphone placed too close to the speaker causing echo and other audio issues.
Description
When not using a headset, the voice of the remote participant is captured by the microphone and when this voice is sent back to the issuer, this causes an echo. Depending on the devices used or the user’s environment (closed room, large open-space), the echo captured can vary and affect the conversation. The use of an echo canceler (AEC) should prevent this issue in most of the cases.
What do we do here?
We measure the difference of the echo signal (in Db) between the speaker and the microphone and mark an observation when the echo signal has a significant value (greater than 0 during 5% of the call) that requests the use of an echo canceler.
